D'origine française et né en 1977, Thomas Rochaix grandit dans une famille d’artistes dont sa grand-mère paternelle, personnage clé qui lui apprendra, enfant, toutes les bases de la peinture figurative.
Thomas fait ses premiers essais à l’huile en 1994 avec des reproductions de Van Gogh («Portrait du Dr. Gachet », «les Tournesols» et «Terrasse de Café la Nuit»). Puis il se consacre à la peinture abstraite, acrylique et sur des formats plus grands. C’est alors qu’il laisse exprimer pleinement son imagination et sa créativité. Il décide aussi de perfectionner sa technique en suivant des cours de dessin d'académie à l'Ifage (Genève). Ses oeuvres reflètent un grand dynamisme, exprimé par l’utilisation de couleurs vives et de formes en mouvement. Le volet "Dans les étoiles" vous invite à un voyage intergalactique.

Thomas wird 1977 geboren und ist gebürtiger Franzose. Er wächst in einer Künstlerfamilie auf und wird von seiner Grossmutter väterlicherseits beeinflusst, die ihm als Kind die Basis des figurativen Malens beibringt. 1994 macht Thomas durch Reproduktionen von Van Gogh («Portrait du Dr. Gachet », «les Tournesols» und «Terrasse de Café la Nuit») seine ersten Schritte in Öl. Dann konzentriert er sich auf die abstrakte Malerei und nutzt dafür Acrylfarben und Grossformate. Auf diese neue Weise lässt er seiner Phantasie und Kreativität vollkommen freien Lauf. Um seine Maltechniken zu verbessern, besucht er gleichzeitig Vorlesungen in akademischer Malerei an der Ifage (Genf). Seine Werke sind durch Dynamismus, bunte Farben und bewegliche Formen gekennzeichnet. Die Kategorie « Dans les Etoiles » lädt Sie zu einer intergalaktischen Reise ein.

Originate from France and born in 1977, Thomas Rochaix grew up in a family of artists and was particularly influenced by his paternal grandmother, who tought him the basis of figurative painting when he was a child. Thomas made his first attempts at oil painting in 1994 by making reproductions of Van Gogh (“Portrait du Dr. Gachet”, “les Tournesols” and “Terrasse de Café la Nuit”). 
He then devoted himself to abstract art and acrylic painting using larger canvases. In this way, he could finally express both his imagination and his creativity. To improve his drawing technics, he also attended courses in academic drawing at the Ifage (Geneva). His works reveal a big dynamism, mixture of bright colours and moving shapes. The “Dans les Etoiles” collection invites you to an intergalactic journey.
